Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced the launch of ‘Toyota Connect’ mobile app in India. The app is a one-stop solution for all the Toyota services for Toyota customers in India. The Connect app includes services like assisted navigation, online service appointments, roadside assistance based on GPS location and service reminders.
The new app is available for both Android and iOS platforms and can be downloaded for free. The app needs the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) at the time of the registration.

With the launch of ‘Toyota Connect’, we aim at ensuring a seamless, convenient and pleasing ownership experience for Toyota customers. Hence, the platform has been built with careful consideration and application of our global standards of customer privacy and data security”, said N Raja, director and senior vice president, sales & marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
The app is fully integrated with a cloud-based platform and Toyota has set up dedicated call centres to support the new app. The app also allows to schedule pick up/drop off the vehicles as per service appointment through the app. The app also allows customers to remotely track the progression of the service of the vehicle through the app. The app also provides service invoice and there is an option of making online payment too.
The app allows customers to download and save offline maps. It gives live traffic information and shows up to five routes for the journey. The app, however, does not connect with the infotainment system. Also, the app has no option to let the customer know if the car is being tempered with or being stolen.
